Accordingly, sealed quotations are invited for the disposal of said vehicles on the terms and conditions mentioned below. In case you are interested in purchasing the above mentioned vehicles, you may submit your highest quotations in the enclosed proforma. You are required to quote your highest offer for each vehicle, the particulars of which are given in the proforma. The quotations addressed to the undersigned in a sealed cover should reach this Department latest by 3.00 PM on 25th February, 2009. The quotations received in time will be opened at 3.30 PM on the same day (25.02.2009). The quotations should be dropped in the Tender Box kept at Gate No.1 of North Block, New Delhi. The cover should be prominently superscribed with the words “QUOTATIONS FOR PURCHASE OF CONDEMNED VEHICLES”. The vehicles will be available for inspection between 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM on 23rd and 24th February, 2009. 3. The quotations received in time will be opened in Room No.48-B, North Block, New Delhi. The bidders or their representative (not more than one) may be present, if they so desire, at the time of opening of quotations. 4. The sale will be governed by the following conditions: (i) The bidder is required to pay Earnest Money of Rs.3000/- for each vehicle separately. (ii) Earnest Money is payable by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of DDO, Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi. (payment by cheque or cash shall not be accepted) (iii) Quotations received without demand draft towards Earnest Money will not be considered and shall not be accepted. (iv) The successful bidder will be required to deposit the bid amount by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of DDO, Department of Economic Affairs within two working days of the acceptance of the bid. (v) The Earnest Money of the successful bidder(s) will be released only after he deposits the sale proceeds. Earnest Money will be forfeited if he fails to honour the bid. (vi) The delivery of the sold vehicle will be arranged only after the successful bidder submits documentary evidence in support of residential status (Ration Card / Voters Identity Card in case of individual and Registration Certificate in case of firms etc.) (vii) The sold vehicle will be removed by the successful bidder(s) within 48 hours of depositing the money at their own expenses. (viii) The vehicle will be disposed of on “as is where is basis” and no guarantee for its worthiness or quality will be given by this Department. (ix) The successful bidder will also be responsible for getting the Registration Certificate of the vehicle transferred in his name at his own cost expeditiously. The office will not be responsible for any lapse on his part in this regard. (x) The bidders will not be allowed to withdraw their bids, failing which their earnest money will be forfeited.
