Name of the work: Manual cleaning, physical inspection, ultrasonic Thickness testing and taking measurements etc. for existing column guided wet type floating tank Gas Holder of 28000 m3 capacity (Gas Holder no.2) at Rajabazar Works. 2. Location : Gas Holder Complex, Rajabazar, Kolkata-700009 3. Earnest Money : 2% of the tendered amount (Maximum up to Rs.20,000/- only) 4. Last date of Application : 19 July 2008 (Up to 4 PM) 5. Date of purchase of tender Papers: 24-26 July 2008 (Up to 2.30 PM) 6. Last date of receipt of completed Tender papers: 31 July 2008 (Up to 3 PM) 7. Date of opening : 31 July 2008 (After 03.00PM) 8. Cost of tender document : Rs.200.00 (Rupees two hundred only) per set –Non refundable. 9. Tender to be submitted to: The Jt. Distribution & Service Manager at the above Address. 10. Duration of the job: Maximum 20 days from the date of placement of the work order NOTE: 1. Non-transferable tender documents can be obtained either by personally or by an authorized representative between 11 AM and 2.30 PM on all working days from 10.09.08 to 14-09- 08 from the office of the Distribution & the Service Manager, GCGSCL, 14, Canal West Road, Kolkata – 700 009. Tender documents will not be sent through post/courier etc or by any other means. 2. The Competent authority of GCGSCL will satisfy himself before permitting issue of tender forms along with other documents with the up-to-date copies of clearance certificate, Professional tax clearance certificate, PAN card. Service tax etc. and the Credibility of contractor for execution of such type. 3. GCGSCL reserves the right at its absolute discretion to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason whatsoever. The short listed applicants will be asked (over phone/fax etc) to collect the tender documents. Short-listing of applicants does not guarantee acceptability of the tender. 4. GCGSCL reserves the right to seek additional information about the applicants from any source and/or applicants and the applicants’ are bound to provide the same in time. 5. GCGSCL takes no responsibility of delay/loss/non-receipt of tender documents sent by post. 6. No request for extension of time for submission of applications, collection of tender documents and submission of filled in tenders will be entertained. 7. Tenderers are requested to inspect the site before quoting their comprehensive rates and the rates should include all costs of labour and materials, facilities, resources, incidental fees and charges, all taxes/duties/levies/cess, liabilities etc as applicable. The Corporation will pay nothing extra on any other account. All applicable taxes, duties, cess, govt. levies etc. as are applicable in this state of India the state of India for carrying out this job will be directly recovered from the executor’s bill. 8. The authority of GCGSCL does not bind itself to accept the lowest tenderer and Reserves the right to accept/reject and/or split any or all tenders without assigning the reasons whatsoever. GCGSCL also does not bind itself to accept the lowest tenderer. GCGSCL also reserve the right to annul the tendering process and reject all tenders at any time prior to award of contract without thereby incurring any liabilities to the affected Tenderers or any obligation to inform the Tenderers the ground of such rejection. 9. The tender should accompany with the earnest money in the form of bank draft/pay order in favour of “Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Limited” from any nationalized banks in Kolkata. 10.Detailed information about the work may be available from the office of the Distribution & the Service Manager, GCGSCL, 14, Canal West Road, Kolkata – 700 009. 11.Fax/e-mail/Telex/Telegraphic offer will not be accepted. 12.Correction in schedule of rates, if unavoidable, should be initialed by the tenderer. 13. Rebates, if any, in case of Tenderers desire to offer on quoted rates given on the ‘Schedule of Rates’ (S.O.R.) they may indicate the same in the S.O.R. itself and not anywhere else. The rebate, if any, shall be indicated both in figures and words. 14.The work shall have to be started immediately after the receipt of formal work order 15.Notwithstanding anything stated elsewhere in the tender document, GCGSCL may solicit the Tenderers consent for an extension of the period of validity of offer. Request and response thereto shall be made in writing. If the Tenderers agree to the extension request the validity of the earnest money deposit provided shall also be suitably extended. However, under no circumstances the tenderer would be allowed to affect a price change due to extension of validity of offer. 16.Tenderers are advised to quote strictly as per the terms and conditions of the tender document and not to stipulate any deviation/exceptions. No price change in the later days will be acceptable for reasons whatsoever only non-conditional offer will be accepted. 17.Successful tenderer has to execute a formal agreement of Rs.10/- on non-judicial stamp paper to be provided by the tenderer and to be submitted to GCGSCL, the format of which is available with the above office along with 2 (two) copies of the documents of tender paper (to be purchased by the tenderer) containing the details of terms and conditions and price offer within 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt of Work Order. 18.This notice is a part of tender documents.
